Auch ein Besuch auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt darf nicht fehlen, wegen der leckeren Schmalzkuchen. Zum Glück kann man diese auch ganz einfach zu Hause selber machen und deshalb entstand jetzt mein Schmalzkuchen Rezept.

Ein großer Berg Schmalzkuchen für die ganze Familie

Der entsprechende Hefeteig ist schnell gemacht und mit ein bisschen Wartezeit und einem Topf mit Öl hat man bald einen großen Berg mit Schmalzkuchen für die ganze Familie.

Zutaten – Schmalzkuchen:

Mehl500 g
Hefe20 g
Kuhmilch250 ml
Eier2 Stk.
Zucker80 g
Vanillemark2 Msp
Butter50 g
Zitrone Fruchtsaft1 EL
Salz1 Pr
Rapsöl zum Ausbacken500 ml
Mehl zum Bearbeiten2 Hände voll

Zubereitung:

Wie mache ich leckere Schmalzkuchen?

  • Mehl in eine Schüssel sieben, in die Mitte eine Mulde drücken und die Hefe hineinbröseln.
  • Die Milch leicht erwärmen, in die Mulde geben und die Hefe darin verrühren.
  • Die Eier, Zuker, Vanillemark, Zitronensaft und Butter mit einer Prise Salz zugeben.
  • 5 Minuten mit den Quirlen des Handrührgerätes kneten. Handrührgerät hier Amazon-Affiliate-Link **
  • An einem warmen Ort zugedeckt 40 Minuten gehen lassen.
  • Den gegangenen Teig zusammenschlagen und auf einer stark bemehlten Arbeitsfläche 1-2 cm dünn ausrollen.
  • Mit einem Messer in Würfel schneiden und weitere 5 Minuten gehen lassen.
  • Die Teigstücke portionsweise in das siedende Öl geben, von beiden Seiten goldbraun backen, mit einem Schaumlöffel herausnehmen und auf Küchenpapier gut abtropfen lassen.
  • Die Schmalzkuchen noch heiß mit Puderzucker bestreuen und warm servieren.
  • Mit Pflaumenmus schmeckt es besonders gut.
